EU parliament approves ban on ‘veggie burger’ and other meaty labels

The European Parliament has approved a proposal to limit the use of certain traditional meat terms like "burger" and "sausage" for plant-based products, in a move some critics say risks stifling the growth of the alt-protein sector.
