Ex-Breakthrough Energy VP joins board of fusion startup: 'Sovereignty belongs to those who lead, not those who regulate'

Ann Mettler has spent the bulk of her career trying to shift European energy policy, first at the European Commission and later at Bill Gates's Breakthrough Energy.

Now Mettler is joining the board of Proxima Fusion, as the startup pushes to build Europe's first commercial fuson energy machine.

"Sovereignty belongs to those who lead the technology frontier, not those who regulate it," Mettler tells Impact Loop.
