EXCLUSIVE: Scania in talks to acquire Northvolt's "crown jewel" division

Swedish truck giant Scania is holding discussions to acquire parts of one of Northvolt's battery subsidiaries, Impact Loop can exclusively reveal.
According to Impact Loop's sources at Northvolt, Scania intends to purchase components of Northvolt Battery Systems, officially registered as Northvolt Systems AB. The subsidiary manufactures battery systems used in Scania's trucks, as well as other applications.
The unit is something of a crown jewel among Northvolt's subsidiaries, already boasting heavyweight clients like mining equipment manufacturer Epiroc.
