A European consortium has backed Foamlab, an impact startup from the Netherlands replacing fossil-based plastic foams with compostable bacterial cellulose alternatives.

Dutch venture capital firm ICOS Capital is leading a €3M round into Foamlab, joined by Value Factory Ventures, DOEN Ventures, Capricorn Industrial Biotech Fund, and SHIFT Invest's TTT Green Tech Fund.
