IKEA's innovation arm backs Swiss biomaterials startup in €13.4m round

Inter IKEA Group has backed Swiss biomaterials startup Seprify in a €13.4m Series A, as the company moves from pilot validation into full commercial supply of its cellulose-based ingredients.

The round also includes Una Terra Early Growth Fund, Zürcher Kantonalbank, Cambridge Enterprise Ventures and Kickfund, a mix of strategic and financial investors with industrial scale-up experience that signals this is less of a science project and more of a commercial push.
