Dogs are getting a taste of the future.

UK pet food brand THE PACK and biotech startup MicroHarvest have launched Gut Bites, the UK’s first dog treats made with microbial protein.

UK pet food brand THE PACK and German/Portuguese biotech startup MicroHarvest have launched Gut Bites, the UK’s first dog treats made with microbial protein.

The protein is produced through fermentation, where tiny microbes convert sugar-rich agricultural byproducts into a bacteria-based powder. The oven-baked treats are designed for dogs with allergies, sensitive stomachs, or picky appetites.
