Northvolt founder Peter Carlsson and Siddharth Khullar have raised at least €5m for their new AI venture, Aris Machina. The funding round includes backing from firms supported by tech titans Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg.

Following the bankruptcy of Swedish battery firm Northvolt, co-founder Peter Carlsson and his previous colleague Siddharth Khullar have launched a new company, Aris Machina, focused on developing AI tools for the manufacturing industry.

According to new information obtained by Swedish local media Dagens Industri, the startup has secured at least €5m according to official filings with the Swedish Companies Registration Office. But according to sources, it can be as much as €7–9m, with some money not yet being formally filed.
