Real estate giants back hyped carbon-storing startup – two countries shortlisted for factory

Two real estate giants have invested in Nordic-Dutch startup Paebbl, whose product replaces cement in concrete whilst locking away CO₂.

Now, the hunt is on for where the factory might land, Paebbl's co-founder Marta Sjögren told Impact Loop.

Impact Loop VC has previously covered Paebbl, one of Sweden's most written-about green industry startups.

The Nordic-Dutch company, founded by Marta Sjögren, Jane Walerud, Andreas Saari, and Pol Knops, is developing the Rebond series – a drop-in additive that the company claims can replace up to 25% of cement in concrete whilst permanently sequestering CO₂.
