BlueOrchard has raised $300m for an emerging markets private debt fund it runs with the World Bank Group.
The fund gives pension funds and insurers access to loans originated by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the World Bank’s private-sector arm.
“Having Tokio Marine come in at the early stage provided us with a great jumping-off point,” Matthew Sparkes, chief risk officer and general counsel at BlueOrchard, tells Impact Loop.
