'The clean energy future is unstoppable,' says climate finance veteran Mindy Lubber

Mindy Lubber, one of trailblazers of the climate finance movement, thinks we have reached a watershed moment in the clean energy transition.

"The clean energy future is unstoppable," she told reporters at London Climate Action Week, adding that that we still need more subsidies to accelerate progress even further.


While some politicians have cooled on green investment, Mindy Lubber says the numbers tell a different story.

"This year, we've seen $2.2 trillion going into the clean energy economy," Lubber, president and CEO of the influential sustainability non-profit Ceres, told reporters at the Climate Innovation Forum in London today. "The technology is now there."
