Foodlabs principal Julius Strauss is circling one of agriculture's most persistent unsolved problems, and says collapsing hardware costs are making it investible at pre-seed for the first time.

Agricultural weeding robots are approaching an early-stage inflection point, according to Julius Strauss, principal at Berlin-based food and agtech fund Foodlabs.

"Whatever sort of farmer you talk to, one of the biggest problems is usually the whole topic of weeding," Strauss tells Impact Loop on the sidelines of the HackSummit conference in Switzerland. "How do you get rid of weeds?"
