2150 closed a €210m fund in January to back early-stage companies solving sustainability problems in cities.

We spoke to head of sustainability and partnerships Peter Hirsch about how the fund finds and selects its investments.

"Sustainability is creating a very robust investment model," Hirsch tells Impact Loop.

2150 invests in early-stage companies solving sustainability problems in cities – buildings, energy systems, transport, industry. It closed its second fund at €210m in January, backed by Novo Holdings, Viessmann Generations Group, and the Danish sovereign fund EIFO, among others.

Nine investments have been made from it so far, with several yet to be announced, Peter Hirsch, head of sustainability and partnerships at 2150, tells Impact Loop.
