The European Commission announces a major overhaul to state aid rules to support clean industries, a new legislative package aims to build Europe a competitive – and sustainable – space economy, and new science-based rules for assessing apparel’s environmental impact.

Last week, we saw the European Parliament vote overwhelmingly to pressure the Commission to move faster implementing the Clean Industrial Deal. This week, there’s a strong sign that the Commission is onboard, as it announces a new framework to allow states to subsidise investments in clean industry.
