Jonas Bergqvist, investment manager at the Swedish state-backed fund Almi Invest Greentech, is actively encouraging his portfolio companies to adopt Anthropic's AI coding tool Claude Code.

"It can actually be an advantage to be a small organisation," he tells Impact Loop in an interview.

AI coding tools have become one of the more talked-about shifts in how software gets built. Anthropic has carved out a clear lead over OpenAI in the coding space specifically, and Claude Code has generated billions in revenue since launch – a signal of how quickly the tool has been taken up across the industry.

For impact startups, Jonas Bergqvist, investment manager at Almi Invest Greentech believes the tool has a lot of potential – but that the window to get ahead won’t be open forever.
